Job Summary: Cherokee Town and Country Club is searching for a highly motivated individual with extensive club/hotel catering, sales and managerial skills. Someone who can anticipate the needs of the members and exceed expectations!
This Director is a leader in driving top line performance, effective goal setting and execution of effective action plans to deliver Member satisfaction, creativity in designing events, excellent relationship building, managing the detailing process and a commitment to provide our Membership with an experience to exceed expectations.
Responsibilities for this position will also include implementation of established banquet goals and promotion techniques; partnering with the Executive Chef and the Director of Food and Beverage Operations to ensure profitable bookings; managing the pricing policy of the Club; executes vendor contracts.

Creativity in designing events
Thorough knowledge of Catering and Banquet operations and budgeting
Understanding/knowledge of computers, Excel, MS Office, Delphi a plus

Working knowledge of banquet department (sets, AV equipment, scheduling, menu planning)

Ability to create, implement and monitor club and staff operating standards and procedures and annual objectives
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and assesses how to manage the communication flow accordingly 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years’ experience in Private Clubs in private dining or related professional area.

Preferred: 4 year college degree.
