Season and cook food according to recipes and experience.
Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.
Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
Ensure tickets are quickly and accurately finished.
Set-up and break down work stations.
Properly label and store foods.
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Assist with ordering supplies and counting inventory if needed.
Receive deliveries; verify vendor invoices with delivery specs and product for quality
Complete shift reports such as “Line checklist”, “Temp Logs” and “Waste Logs”.
Perform work duties in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures as well as OSHA and food handler regulations.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
A minimum of 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant setting
Valid food handler’s card if required
