Job Description

Position OverviewGrow overall hotel sales through solicitation of new business using consultative sales. Cultivate relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance overall business relationship with hotel.

Position Accountabilities

Solicit new business for PSAV through consultative sales by obtaining definite bookings from hotel, creating professional bids and proposals and attending client site visits (40%).

Meet client needs through attending pre-conference meetings, creating and maintaining organized show files and responding to client concerns, questions and problems.(35%).

Cultivate relationships with key hotel personnel (15%).

Provide operational support by acting as Director, Event Technology in his/her absence, leading team members during shows, driving sales programs with team members and training as needed. (10%)

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma, BS/BA in Business preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years sales and event technology or hospitality experience (ie. audio, visual, lighting, rigging, etc.)

  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual preferred

  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes required in addition to the ability to read and decipher financial reports and records

  • Computer proficiency required including MS Office and CAD software.

  • Prefer audiovisual equipment, Lynx and Oracle knowledge.
