Commission for the Preservation of America's Herit Administrative Support Assistant in Washington, District Of Columbia
This position is located at the U. S. Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad, which is charged with helping to protect and preserve memorials, historic sites, buildings, cemeteries, and other cultural property in Central and Eastern Europe, including parts of the former Soviet Union that are important to the foreign heritage of Americans.
The incumbent reports to the Chair of the Commission, Members, and other personnel and provides administrative support.
Some of the duties of this position require the incumbent to:
- Arrange travel for the Chair and Members including air, hotel, and car accommodations.
- Greet and assist all visitors, including Members, foreign and domestic dignitaries
- Maintain an updated inventory of office supplies and order new supplies.
- Track incoming mail and e-mails, referring each to the appropriate person.
- Maintain office equipment including researching and purchasing new equipment.
- Maintain all files including incoming/outgoing correspondence and country files.
- Assist with State Department country clearances, visas, and official passports for travelers.
