As a W Lounge Supervisor you assist the Manager with the daily operation of the venue, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and profit contribution. You strive to maintain high quality and efficiency as well as to promote teamwork between all talents. You observe and enforce objectives, policies, standards and procedures whilst recognizing the coaching needs of the talents in order to achieve high performance and a positive departmental culture.
Coordinate the work of the B&F Attendants in an efficient manner, maintaining high quality and standards
Conduct pre-service briefings with the team, including: VIPs in house, group movement, promotional activities, guest feedback and product knowledge
Be attentive in checking quality of B&F service, cleanliness of bar, tables, chairs, floor and general equipment.
Maintain par stock levels of all B&F items
Provide a positive example to all B&F Attendants on upholding the standards and procedures of the venue
Handle customer concerns and complaints with empathy and understanding according to W standards.
Wherever possible, actively solicit guest feedback in order to seek continual improvement in service and to ensure guest satisfaction.Assist management in ensuring all special guest requests
Assist in the initial and ongoing training of all B&F talents
Attend meetings as required and assist in the implementation of opportunities for quality team building.
Align working practices with W Amsterdam's Vision; consistently strive to meet and exceed the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure talents are working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met.
Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness.
Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies
Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model and first point of contact
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management
Experience in a similar position within the luxury hospitality segment
Fluency in English and preferably in Dutch
3 years of experience in Beverage & Food
Knowledge of opening and closing procedures
Knowledge of the Point of Sale System, including cashiering responsibilities
Knowledge of food and beverage safety (HACCP)
Completed secondary vocational education MBO/ higher level education HBO, preferably BBA in Hospitality Management
Experience in MS Office and Micros
