PositionDescriptionJob Purpose:Assist workers engaged in preparing foods for restaurant by performing acombination of duties. Also, to produce all orders on an a la carte basisand to prep for buffets, banquets, salad bars and hors d oeuvres.Job Responsibilities:Display good customer relation skills and take initiative to greet guests in afriendly manner.Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reportaccidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; completesafety training and certifications.Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect companyassets.Must be able to prep food products for line and banquet consumption,using standardized food preparation techniques.Wash, peel, cut, and seed vegetables and fruits; clean, and cutmeats, poultry, and seafood; stir and strain soups and sauces, etc.Weigh and measure designated ingredients.Date all food containers and rotate as per the SOP, making sure perishablesare kept at proper temperatures.Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations,stove, and refrigerator.Store foods in designated areas, utilizing knowledge of temperaturerequirements and food spoilage. Maintain sanitary regulations of foodtemperatures. Rotate all products.Maintain work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment,garbage, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordancewith state, county, and company health regulations and work safetyregulations.Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment, using hand truck. Prepare and organize work area.Prepare all cold sauces, dressings, salads, and desserts for customerservice, salad bar, buffets, banquets, and tableside service.
