Courtyard Minneapolis Downtown Full-Time Guest Service Representative (Front Desk) - Must be available for morning shifts & Weekends in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Courtyard Minneapolis Downtown is seeking individuals to be part of our Front Desk team. Perfect candidate will: 1. SMILE when in contact with guests. 2. Register and check out guests promptly and efficiently upon arrival to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain a professional posture at all times and always be overly attentive to guest satisfaction. 3. Perform all guest accounting functions according to established hotel operating procedures to ensure all guest and house accounts are complete and accurate. This includes accurately maintaining a cash bank, processing checkouts, reconciling daily deposits, and transactions and submitting a balanced deposit. 4. Follow all established credit procedures for payment by credit card and cash paying guests. Ensure all guests establish credit upon check in and monitor guest accounts. 5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all service and facilities of the hotel and immediate community to effectively assist hotel guests. 6. Issue safe deposit boxes to guests upon request according to procedure. 7. Properly process guest mail, messages, and packages in conjunction with PBX to ensure receipt of same by the guest. 8. Maintain a clean and neat work area at all times. 9. Upsell rooms and strive to maximize hotel revenues when the opportunity presents itself. Utilize appropriate suggestive selling techniques and adhere to rate control procedures based on availability and forecasted occupancy. 10. Receive and process reservations accurately and effectively according to procedure. 11. Review all reservations and assign rooms based on availability, special requests, and hotel promotions to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize room revenues. Pre-assign and block reservations when necessary. 12. Review promotions folder daily. 13. Review front office communication log each shift. 14. Perform all duties and complete all checklists in a timely and efficient manner. 15. Properly utilize the Log Off code on your computer. Log off whenever leaving your computer screen. 16. Assist and serve all guests and team members (in person and on the phone) in a sincere and courteous manner, ensuring the finest hospitality and professionalism. Communicate clearly and courteously, ensuring proper phone etiquette and phraseology are used at all times according to standards.
